Coronavirus effects on the news publishing business
We created this site to highlight how newsrooms around the world are tackling the COVID-19 pandemic - with articles from our own media journalists and curated sources. We are also working on stories addressing the business impact of a temporary advertising downturn. The site will develop over the next week or two and eventually merge into our new WAN-IFRA website - currently under development!
Who are we?
The World Association of News Publishers, or WAN-IFRA, is the global organisation of the world’s press. It derives its authority from its global network of 3,000 news publishing companies and technology entrepreneurs, and its legitimacy from its 60 member publisher associations representing 18,000 publications in 120 countries.
